Michael Doret (? – Present)
Michael Doret is an award-winning graphic and type designer from Los Angeles, California. Born in New York City, he grew up in Brooklyn and spent most of his youth in the area. A graduate of the Cooper Union, he started his early career by starting a small design studio. Later he founded his own type foundry, AlphabetSoup Type Founders, which distributes his original font designs.
Doret has created visual identities, album covers and magazine covers for some of the world’s leading brands, including the New York Knicks, MLB, Playboy, Time Magazine, Kiss, Capitol Records, Columbia Records, Universal Studios, Walt Disney Imagineering and The Graphic Artists Guild. He has numerous awards and accolades, both national and international, to his credit and his work has been exhibited widely in various art galleries and museums throughout the world.
